For the fourth consecutive year, and with the support of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Carnival Village Trust presents four nights of Carnival Music at Opera Holland Park’s open-air theatre. This vibrant programme highlights both traditional and contemporary Caribbean musicians, celebrating Carnival culture through Calypso, Steelpan, and Brazilian genres. Get ready for four memorable summer nights of captivating performances and rich, vibrant sounds.

(August 14) Echoes of Carnival: Celebrate the rich culture and heritage of Carnival music with performances by steelbands, including Ebony Youth Band, New Generation Steel Orchestra, and Croydon Steel Orchestra. Enjoy a special performance by Triniboi Joocie and Leah-Sophia featuring a dazzling spectacle of Mas. Support the new generation of steelpan musicians in this unforgettable night of music, culture, and community.

(August 15) Brazilian Spectacular: Experience the electrifying rhythms and soulful melodies of Brazilian bands, featuring samba and samba reggae. Enjoy the fusion of traditional instruments with contemporary flair for an exhilarating show that promises to ignite the stage. Performances from, Batala, Baque De Axe, Dende Nation, Imperio Da Rainha, London School of Samba, Paraiso Samba School and Tribo.

(August 16) Pan Jazz: Enjoy an enchanting night of Pan Jazz, where the melodic sounds of the steelpan meet the improvisational flair of jazz. This unique evening blends the rhythmic heartbeat of Caribbean music with soulful jazz expressions, offering a captivating journey through innovative arrangements and electrifying performances from Anne Fridal, Carlene “Sweet Wrists” Ettienne, Debra ‘Pandiva” Eden, Delphina James, Romaya and Siobhan Mitchell.

(August 17) Calypso in the Park: Immerse yourself in the vibrant rhythms of Calypso, celebrating the rich musical heritage of this beloved genre. Enjoy performances by some of the finest Calypsonian’s including Alexander D’ Great, Bubbles, D’ Alberto, Deevine, G-String, Giselle Carter, Ms Desire, Pahjo, Patriot, Rev B and Tobago Crusoe who will be delivering infectious beats and storytelling lyrics. Join us for a joyous celebration under the stars, reviling in the spirit and energy of Calypso music.
